Appreciating Author Rachel Caine

Rachel Caine is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Morganville Vampires series, as well as the Weather Warden Series and its spin-off series, Outcast Season.

Which means she has written *a lot* of books. So when she speaks on a panel or at a book signing Q&A, you know she knows what she is talking about.

I’m fortunate in that I live in the same metroplex as Rachel, and get to see her on a regular basis. She is a sweet, generous person who is able to turn out novels on (what seem to me) insane deadlines.

There are currently seven Morganville Vampire books out, with #8 Kiss of Death due on April 27 of this year, and #9 due on November 3 of this same year. See what I mean about those insane deadlines?

I appreciate Rachel for being an inspiration and a reality check of what it takes to be a writer. As her website says, Rachel Caine is probably writing.
