1. Name five things on your book shelves.
ARIA manga, Rodney the Reindeer plush, The Dresden Files novels by Jim Butcher, Doctor Who DVDs (David Tennant seasons), and hand written notes for stories that have yet to achieve ascension to the digital realm

2. What is your advice to a new writer?
Learn about the business of publishing but write your stuff first. You have to come to the table with something worthwhile before you can get a royalty check.

3. What book do you not have a copy of that you want to have someday?
The Art of Michael Whalen

4. Where do you spend the most time writing and is it cluttered or clear?
Futon in my living room, cluttered with several projects, not all of them related to writing

5. What do you wish you would have done differently regarding your writing career?
Kept writing through college and the early day job years instead of waiting to get serious about it in my 30s
